if you really want street view. thats the only difference....

    I'd just wait.

I updated bc I wasn't jailbroken to begin with

Notice any difference with speeds or less crashes in Safari? I've noticed it takes a while to load up some menus, etc.

I may just upgrade. The only thing I use with jailbreak is pdaNET, so I guess it's not a huge deal.

The mute switch actually works in games now ;)

I've noticed it's a bit speedier as a general rule.

I can't wait until apps start taking advantage of the audio line in recording.

Unless it was updated today I don't think it does. It uses the onboard mic. Still a cool app though, I think I may buy it and play around.

phone works perfectly now! best update to date imo.

This coupled with the fact that they turned on 3g in my area has made me VERY happy i have a iphone3g rather than the 2g now.

I don't think this update was useless at all. For me it sped everything up and made everything smooth and quick.

I swear every update I do, the earpiece/speaker phone volume drops. I thought this phone was quiet when I first got it, now its extremely quiet. Thinking of just grabbing a 3G hoping to fix the issue.

Quickpwn 2.2 is now out. I think I'm going to keep mine stock. Everything is running very smooth and I don't want to wreck that.

everyone always says "oh it's so fast now"

if it's really so noticeably faster after each of the first 10 updates or whatever they've done, I'd expect my shit to be lightning fast by now...but no...it's the same old shit.

I broke my jailbreak for it. I heard it's a lot smoother, less Safari crashes, faster 3G, UPDATE ALL option in the app store.

I'm pretty sure it's already jailbroken, they just need to release it. I forgot how I jailbroke the last version. I did it so that there was no Cydia or SSH, nothing. All I did was drag downloaded apps into iTunes and install them normally. :hs:

EDIT: Guess the jailbreak is already released.

i haven't played with it too much yet, but if Safari is stable now then it was worth it. Safari regularly crashes for me on certain sites like engadget.com. i use it a ton during the week on my 1hour bus ride. so, i'll find out tomorrow.

Just used QuickPWN. It has the option to not install cydia/installer and doesn't install SSH.

You can also install cracked apps via iTunes.

EDIT: Apparently you can't. I just tried and cracked apps didn't transfer to the phone. I think MobileInstallation still needs to be cracked. Any ideas?
