gave me a semi
Drove by the Cube in NY today and they've got iPhone's on the cube for demo use I presume.
It looks really amazing. The UI is such a quantum leap from the crap other companies have forced us to use for years. I can't wait to get one.
However, why do they NEVER talk about the freakin calendar app?
More companies need to show off tech like this. Video manuals from the manufacturers need to be common place.
or show you how the camera works, or set an mp3 as a ringtone, or send a file using bluetooth (e-mail seems to be the only option). There are a SHITLOAD of question marks about the iPhone that make me wonder if apple is sweeping under the rug here. No bluetooth file xfer and no mp3 ringtones are absolute no-nos in my book. I really have to wonder if the phone will just be a reflection of the set of things that jobs thinks is important in a phone, and fuck all the rest
apple listens to its fanbase. iphone v2 will be the biggest improvement
that depends almost entirely on the terms of their contract with AT&T. If no mp3 ringtones is part of the contract, then chalk up one more missing feature to dealing with the devil. I guess we'll see, but personally I think siding with a single carrier was a terrible decision in the long run. 5 years of exclusivity? christ.
Too bad it won't be available in Canada for another several months.
