Let's hope this finally fixes some of our issues, or at least LAGGY TEXTS.

Working quite well here. SMS in general is faster, and the contact list doesn't have that initial lag that I was annoyed with.

Genius is a new feature. 3G signal is good, but I generally don't have an issue here in Austin with it.

Wait a few days to make any real determination. How many times have we seen "seems to be snappier" and then after a few days its the same old crap. At least this time they have stated specific fixes instead of just putting 'bug fixes'.

    LMFAO 'It just works'

Thats how you are going to get better battery life, they completely disable 3G! Apple should have stuck to edge because of the small battery. It was the reason that Jobs stated they left it off on the first version. That, and the exclusion of a gps chip. They are never going to get a good balance between battery life, and connection speed.

Leaving out 3G in the first phone also gave AT&T time to roll it out in many cities. When the first iPhones came out AT&T only had 3G in a couple cities around the US. Plus for Apple it meant they could sell you a new product a year later. Why release all the features at once when they can get you to buy a new one every year which means they sell new product and get kickbacks from your extended AT&T contract for longer.

Fixed my issues. 3G reception is profoundly better. Although I think I am getting shorter battery life with similar usage. Havent tested it though.
