    No, wifi is not necessarily "the internet", you do not need a modem.

    so what sort of wireless adapter do i have to have for my camera to get this to work?

    technically as long as its hard wired to a comp which is on wifi it'll work

    the wifi adapters for a camera aren't cheap to say the least

    looking at it now, is the major difference between the pro and lite versions whether or not it can remotely change settings? the lite version just takes the picture whereas the pro can change iso, aperture, shutter speed, etc?

    i still haven't decided to jailbrake my phone :o i probably will once 3.0 is out and there's a way to jailbrake it.
