Can I put my older (non-iBook) ebooks on it? I have a bunch of PDF ebooks, and I would need to be able to use those...

I haven't tried it, but I'm sure you can. I believe the kindle app has pdf capabilities. If not, there are other PDF apps you can use to read those books (assuming DRM doesn't give you crap about it)
