Has anyone seen PC mag's review of the ipad?

At about 3:36 the reviewer shows off the Marvel comics app...

As a comic fan, does this appeal to you?
I know for some people, collecting physical comics is a huge part of the allure. But for me, the physical paper was always what kept me away. They took up space, were frail and were often so short that I had to make constant trips to the local comic place to pick up the newest issues.

To me, an iPad + comics might just be what brings me back.
Buying them online and reading them instantly on a touch device changes everything. I think this has the potential to bring Comics back to the golden age.

Depends on cost I could pirate them for free and read them why should I pay for a medium that's already available to me for free I pay for the physical paper to have a actual copy of the books if it was a buck just to read yea I might buy a few subs for digital comics I wouldn't normally care about owning

There are a few comic readers on the iPhone. I imagine they'll translate to the iPad too. I'll still buy trades but floppies I probably would use the iPad.

If marvel follows their current formula for online comics, then it doesn't matter how badass the app is. Marvel's digital comics have 6 month time frame intervals between diamond releases to digital releases.

    I'm not doing that.

But I love the idea of comics on the iPad. If dark horse, dc, and image jump on this and start releasing new media regularly, then I'm in.

Hope you guys look at Graphic.ly's new and upcoming comic app. They've already got one for AIR and normal desktop based one but they'll be releasing it soon.
Having been testing it out, it's awesome as hell. Check it out; www.graphic.ly

Does help that the company is awesome about everything too :)

Panelfly looks a LOT sexier. Can't wait till that comes out.
My comic reading (which is around 0%) is going to shoot up big time once I snag up an iPad.

I found a site that has a program that converts pdf and cbr (formats that I have torrented before) into the ebook format.

HAHA For the dickheads (and broke ass naggers) who thinks the iPad is a big iPod Touch.

i think the joke is that it's an ipod touch, implying that most people think they are the exact same thing (they are)
