Im looking into software that hides my IP address for privacy purposes, not for hacking or talking to underaged girls online...bad joke, whatever....but seriously does it work? if so what are good ones? or close my thread if it's an inappropriate question. Thanks!

There are is a variety of different companies that make proxy software. A proxy is just a remote place that your internet goes through. That way if you are visiting here, ot would see the IP of your proxy and not you.

My only suggestion is to make sure the proxy has IP stations near you so as to not slow down your bandwidth too much. Also, look into what kind of bandwidth their customers get.

You don't necessarily need to purchase software.
There are proxy websites you can go through.
All you have to do is get a proxy IP address and put it in under Internet Options and you will surf the internet through the proxy
