http://www.kimt.com/news/local/24076714.html PIERSON, Iowa (AP) - The mayor of a small western Iowa town shot and killed a dog after it bit a child. Pierson Mayor Max Dunnington says he shot the dog Monday after hearing that it bit a child on the ankle. Dunnington says he'd previously warned the dog's owner that the dog could be killed if it ran loose and acted aggressively. When he heard about the bitten child, he went to the owner's home and shot the dog when it acted agressive. Woodbury County Chief Deputy Greg Logan confirmed the killing but referred questions to the county attorney. Assistant county attorney Mark Campbell declined to comment. Pierson is about 30 miles east of Sioux City. ---- Sounds like he needs to be arrested he's the mayor not judge and jury.
