Has anyone here used or seen used various Inzer suits? They suppose to seriously increase your lift capabilities.

But as I'm an Australian they are hard to come by down here, so looking for some real-life experience people have had with them. Mostly the squat/deadlift suit and/or the bench shirts.

Also anyone know of any importers for Australia that handles such things, or a good US exporter.

It's hard to order such things over the net without seeing/using them. Not sure of sizes and certainly would want to order one too big/small.

    Thx,

As a competitive powerlifter myself... the only people who require gear are powerlifters. If you are experiencing severe pec or shoulder issues during the bench press, the Inzer blast shirt might help you. If you have hip problems, the SINGLE PLY inzer power-pants may help you.

Other than that, only competitive powerlifters should be using gear.

    Ah, thx.

Yeah I'm not a competitive powerlifter. But I've read they can seriously boost your lifting power, like 100lb+ for bench and 200lb deadlifts. I was looking for that little boost for initial muscle growth and then ease off once the power is there to the desired lifting weight I wanted.

I'm currently doing 180kg/396lb deadlifts (190kg 'cheated') but want to reach the 200kg/440lb range.

So you would say I shouldn't use the gear? I don't have any serious issues, other than minor elbow. But my goals in weight training is overall power over size.

Well the thing is, it's not the right track for full on muscle growth. The gear changes the entire lift itself, mechanism wise, and you need to train specifically for it and switch up your routines entirely - because your end goal is to use the gear to lift as much as possible in a competition per its rules and specifications.

stay away... it changes your form and the muscles you build up.

Shirted benching drastically reduces the amount of chest and shoulder fibers recruited and puts the focus on the triceps (and lats as you get better at it)

Some gear can make your numbers jump way the hell up, but it also calls for a completely different style of training which has no use for your average gym rat. A 200lb carryover for the deadlift is pushing it. Most people are only getting 30-50lbs out of it, with the exception of some sumo pullers that have mastered the art of squatting the deadlift up.

    edit: damn nick... gettin yoked

specifically about the inzer standard blast - i hear its a glorified t shirt thats a bit tighter.

also keep in mind that good shirts tend to really hurt while using it and can rip your skin, because of the tightness.

Well I consensus is, stay away from the Inzer gear for standard bodybuilding.

Well I get what you mean, and that type of shirt and reduction in overall strength and technique isn't something I want. When you look at the numbers the profess to able to increase you by using them, you get all starry eyed :)

I've been mostly happy with my routine so far, so I'll just stick with that for now. Probably better I couldn't find them in Australia :)

    Thx for your responses.

Well I'm new here (as can be seen) so I don't know who anyone is, but I take any informative advice I come by.

Mind over mater, is mostly my problem :)

Only use the gear if you're going to a competition. I ordered an Inzer bench shirt and my arms wouldn't fit into it. :mamoru:

Yeah that is what my initial concern was if I ever ordered one, as I'd have to import one from overseas.

yeah those boxes are so uncomfortable. I use the purple bands to keep them on my back. Ever try chains? I just hook them to my feet. Makes walking big weight out a little iffy but its worth it for the gains.
