internet v.wtf

    what the hell kinda speed is that??
    i have wireless cable internet. i had it for a long time, then it got bad a few months ago and i never really did anything about it... i reformatted since then, and checked to see if i was capped (i wasnt). i got a new router and a new internet adapter, what else is there??

    help please :(

    nah that ftp is what my ISP gave me to test my internet.. it used to be at like 2000+ kb/sec

    plug directly into the cable modem and test it.

    did that, it actually goes slower in just the modem

    How are your transfer rates between computers on your lan? It could be something as simple as a bad cable. Any home-made patch cords?

    nothing home made... its all wireless. it was fine like 6 months ago, then it got shitty and its been that way since

    You have someone on your subnet/physical switch with a hacked modem taking your bandwidth. Ask the ISP to do some bandwidth monitoring on their switch and see who is pegging their connection at 100%.
