What speeds are you paying for? Once you find that out, go here: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
And click the nearest location to you. Then compare those speeds with what you should be getting. Downloading a file from a random website isn't the best way to test your connection speed.

if you don't know what you're doing, you'll fuck things up.

Secondly, the source is unknown and untrusted. He's from singapore which is well-known for its viruses, spyware, hackers, etc. Furthermore, it was posted as a spam-flood on this forum, and he was banned.

I see many reasons NOT to use it, and not a single one to promote it.

meh, too late. i already used it, checked the readme/help and everything. All it was was a few simple buttons you can choose depending on what connection you have. I didn't go into the advanced options, so i just clicked optimize my broadband.

Then i ran ad-aware, didn't come up with anything.

you're not too bright, are you? First you want to overclock the worst video card on the market, then you run random registry hacks from a no-name in sinapore?

It's a miracle you can navigate OT!?!

and i did plenty of research on the x300 and while it may be a shitty card that's irrelevant to its overclocking potential

not rly. a cards o/c potential is defined as it's ability to be obtained for a lesser price, but then compete favorably with cards of a much higher cost.

even your o/c'd x300 fails to compete favorably with other cards.
