Is there software that lets you easily switch back and forth from the LAN connection and the wireless connection? (without having to disable the adapter, etc)

Can't you just use both at the same time?

Depending on what you want to do, you can set metrics to force it to use a certain adapter. But seeing how you decided details weren't important, I won't bother providing any either.

My laptop does it automatically without any special software at all.
I predominantly use wireless on my laptop, but if I want to transfer a large file between my main PC and the laptop I plug a LAN cable into it.

I watch the laptop negotiate the new connection and go to town. When I am done all I do is unplug the LAN cable and it does it again.

I had no idea that was a 'feature' I was under the impression that it was how windows handles connections like that.
