Dones anyone have a recemendation for a program (preferably free) that will limit site access through Internet Explorer, on a per user basis.

A friend of mine has a 14 year old daughter that has been doing way to much "extra ciricular" browsing. And he would like to limit that.

However he doesnt want to cut off his pr0n supply either.

So im looking for somthing user specific, and customizable.

Well, even if its not free.
Is there one particular piece of software that works for what he needs?

Becuase even at a cost, it would be worth having.

your friend could lock down her internet access with a group policy on her account (gpedit.exe), just set the internet security to high and add the urls of the sites that she's allowed to visit

or some routers can limit usage during certain times or to certain sites...

A guy with a daughter who still likes pr0n - there's something not quite right with that.

evidently, the facination runs in the family :mamoru:

"extracurricular activities" thats like "self gratification"

blocking sites isnt the best solution, google is magic, if you could even find all the porn sites to block them :naughty:

check net-nanny or the like. im sure youve seen the little protect kids banners at the bottom of "adult sites" use one of those.

use the content advisor in ie, that way sites rated above what is set (i'm assuming he'd set no pr0n) will need a password that you set. doesn't work if there is no content rating though, then it can all be blocked or allowed.

Then again wouldn't you rather your 14 y/o daughter watching porn opposed to going out and getting fucked?

:werd: I'm a guy, but my parents always prefered that I be looking at porn rather than out doing drugs and having unprotected sex.

But, like that other guy said, look at the bottom of porn sites, they often have links to some software that'll filter content (NetNanny being the one that comes to mind).
