I'm visiting Poland at the end of the year and I was curious what the laws are as far as buying a gun in another country and bringing it home into the states. Anyone have any input?

    Considerations will be:
-Laws of the country you are visiting
    -Customs forms required for importation
    -ATF forms required for transfer

I know of some military guys that have done it while stationed overseas but as far as you or I, my understanding is basically that if you're not in a position to tell your army of lawyers to make it happen, you're not in a position where it would be financially viable to do it.

If anyone can offer anything factual, I'll be curious to know the exact steps myself.

Not worth it, unless you're buying some gun thats uber-rare and you have lots of time/money to import it.

There's probably more polish guns here than in Poland. And you won't be able to buy one there.
