    I have a Sony CD-RW (CRX230AU)

When I first got this computer it was working properly, I then attached an Iomega USB CD-RW. After I rebooted my internal Sony drive dissapeared from my hardware listing. It is GONE, Windows does not find it at all. I even totally removed the external drive and still nothing.

    Help please!:wtc:

Power down your computer and unplug the cable on the back of the cd drive.

    Reboot the machine.

Power down again and reconnect the cable.

Now when you reboot, windows will reinstall it.
