    I have a Mitsu WS-55311 (55" HD ready projection)

Anyway, problem is the TV will shut itself off every now and again like its going in to some protection mode or something. I called a service tech out to my house but he couldnt find a problem and it seems to come and go. I recently moved and the TV was unplugged so the microproccessor got reset. I think it might be the power supply but Im not sure.

Has anyone had any experience with these TV's?

if the light keeps on blinking, it's doing some resetting action. sorry, can't remember off the top of my head. it's in the manual though. mine gets it every once in a while. no biggie. if you want to get rid of it, you can spend around another $2000 and get the voltage stabalizer from monster power, but to me that's just stupid...

Well, its will shut itself off and if I turn right back on it will just continue to turn off after a few seconds. I thought maybe it took a lightning strike or something. It hasnt done it for a while now (a few days and counting). If I unplugg it and leave it then turn it back on it seems to reset itself and works again... weird.

What if his line voltage is just fine as it is?

You can get voltage stabilization from "computer" UPS manufacturers for much cheaper...

My parents have a 65" Mitstu HDTV, should have the same functionality as urs. Theirs went off once, but I think it was some protection feature that it did when it didn't have a signal. I turned off the DVD player and not the TV.
