Don't worry about breaking your femur during squats. The thigh bone is designed for strength. TIny acrs called trabeculae act like bridges among the cells in the bone, making the average femur capable of resisting forces of up ot 2,500 pounds :eek3:

The Rhinoceros beetle can carry up to 850 times its own weight on its back. Equvilant of a human carrying 76 family sedans (or filmy's squat) :mamoru:

Liz Willet, female PL is ranked NO. 1 in all 3 lifts benching 391, squating 634 and a 485 dead

    just some random info :)

    :squint:

Filmy if I were you I'd take it easy when your squat gets to about 2,400 - 2,500 just to play it on the safe side, you know what I mean? Be safe man.

It makes sense, I've never heard of anyone breaking their femur. Most leg injuries happen in the knee, lower leg, and ankle.

it's pretty hard to break a femur, even with a bat. it takes a car, or skiing into a tree or huge fall to do the trick. i hadn't heard aobut the lil bridge thingy across the bones that the mag was talking about.

i'm guessing the tendons will rip before you break bones

ps. how much force is needed to rip a tendon clean off the tibial tuberosity?
