Interesting lift I saw the other day

Never saw this before so bare with me.

Guy was grasping his arms around an exercise ball and I guess holding a tricep rope on the other side of the ball. He had the cable on the lowest setting and was alternating side to side going from real low and sort of doing a "throw object of my shoulder" lift with the ball. Looked badass but dangerous with bad form.

Is this some sort of MMA lift for throwing people?

Alright but the guy was bigger than most people here :dunno:

My guess was he was a heavyweight mma fighter or bouncer

Nevermind, it wasn't a bosu ball. It was just a regular bigass exercise ball.

it's just an oblique workout, nothing special

    like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZugOFsDhdY
    but with the ball

the ball keeps your arms in an extended position so you're not pulling with them as much and makes it so you have to use your obliques to turn your body

oh no, he was facing the weight. Going low like squat depth, then using his back to throw the weight like he would over his shoulder. It was definitely a back exercise. It pretty much looked like he was throwing someone over his shoulder in a fight but with weights obviously

    Maybe he made it up

No need to get swole, just become a personal trainer at 24.

I know it's a little gay, but I wasn't gonna sit there and stare and I definitely wasn't gonna be that skinny guy who came up and said

yo bro sick lift! what is that? do you take creatine?!?!?!:greddy:

but in all seriousness, it was a badass lift and he was probably practicing stones like someone mentioned, because we don't have those at our commercial gym
