So on another board I am a member of there is a guy selling his prized Glock. I read the ad and found it entertaining, thought you guys might get a laugh as well:

    -----------
I'm selling my pristine condition Glock 30. The Glock 30 is rated the most accurate compact gun EVER made. I've had this gun for 2yrs and it's my pride and joy. I bought this gun brand new and spent over $700 in modifications. Yes that a EXTRA $700 in parts and master gunsmith labor.

-The gun comes w/ 4 yes 4 10 round clips and 1 13 round clip
-I have glow in the dark upgraded nightsights that have been measured for accuracy
-I have the upgraded NY1 trigger w/ trigger stop. The trigger is firmer for perfect feel and alleviate accidental discharge. The trigger stop removes any play from the trigger after trigger is engaged for faster recoil and rapid fire.
    -I have 2 GlockMaster springs
-I have the ambedextrous laser installed INSIDE the gun for accurate dead on shots when turned on. The laser can be turned on easily by either right handed or left handed shooters
-The exhaust ports have been machined for better shot bursts(helps to alleviate hard recoil after gun has been fired
-All internals have been smoothed and polished for faster assembly/disassembly and smooth operation. Gun cocks, decocks, loads, fires, and dismantles smoother than any other Glock!! Slight work to firing pin also. Trust me I let other Glock owners handle my gun and they are AMAZED at how nice it feels.
-Grip and trigger arm have been textured and deburred for smoother feel and better all around grip surface.

All work done by master gunsmith. My uncle is a SGT in the SWAT unit of xxxxxxx County Police. He was able to take my gun and have it worked on by a retired xxxxxx County FireArms Specialist that only works on police issued or personal police owned FireArms. He's been retired for 10yrs and works w/ firearms for over 50yrs!!

I've had this Gun for 2yrs but luckily have never had to use it for self defense. I carried this gun for about a year and half but just recently stopped carrying it. I've taken this gun to the gun range numerous times w/ all types of ammunition and IT HAS NEVER EVER JAMMED UP ON ME!! This is the perfect gun for carry and personal protection. I've never been worried when I carried this gun b/c

I'm asking $650 OBO. This is a steal for a $550 Gun plus another $700 in USEABLE upgrades.
    -----------

So, is that a realistic price for a Glock with that kind of work done to it? I figured you don't really get the money back for that...

i would give him 475... tops. again, upgrades dont increase the value... with the exception of maybe 1911's and gunsmithing stuff...

I like how it is a "police only" gunsmith. Only way that I really see smithing increasing value is if the work is done by a competant, well known smith.

And he has 4 YES 4 whole 10 rnd CLIPS!

Sorry hoss, it's a pretty local board so I wouldn't want to catch hell for bringing a bunch of knowledgable people onto it ;) Really, I think it would be poor form for me to invite you guys over there to make fun of him... sorry.

But to be honest, I just lost it in the second sentence with the "Glock 30 is rated the most accurate compact gun EVER" ROFL I really want to post up and ask him who rated it that way...

none so far at all, but on that board the general FS section is pretty slow. It's a car site so... not a lot of people shopping for guns (we keep the thug level down on that board)

For a gun with that much work on it, I'd be hesitant to 1) buy it without shooting it at least 100rds 2) offer him more than $300 for it

The lasermax is worth another 150.. so 600 would be a decent price.. but this dude doesnt know anything about glocks so I wouldn't buy it..

PM me if you like and I'll link you to the board or I'll just send you his contact info.

And yeah, his knowledge of weapons makes me not really want to buy anything from him either... hence i posted this due to my entertainment...

Out of my mind, brb never.
The ad is riddled with red flags of gun newbieness. The fact that he wants 100 over stock price, on a gun thats 2+ years old is laughable.
