MMA interesting documentary on Eskrima/Arnis/Kali (Filipino Martial Art)

    My uncle was willing to teach me, and a kid I knew in HS did it as well. Pretty interesting. Problem is, you don't carry a club around with you where ever you go. But there are weaponless techniques. I just saw part one, not bad.

    yea from what I hear, alot of the armed techniques can be used empty handed. also, I like how some modern movies are incorporating this art into their fight sequences. (e.g. The Bourne Supremacy knife fight at the house)

    My gym used to be a Kali academy as well, years ago. They still do "Premium Workshops" and teach weapon fighting, but it's extra added onto the regular MMA membership.

    They have a few eskrima/kali classes where I train. Seems alright, but just not my cup of tea.

    yea. personally i dont anticipate pissing off anyone with a knife. this might be geared toward law enforcement or military types
