Is it good as a main computer? I don't have a desktop at home and this will be the computer in which I have everything in.

I am interested on it for editing pictures, I have a Rebel XT and I am interested on getting more into photography, so it's most likely that I'll install everything on it.

I've also heard about bootcamp too, which is a good thing.

    Any recommendations?

It would be fine for that.

Personally, I'd want at least a 15" laptop for a main computer, just for the screen size. Aside from the size though, the White MacBook would be fine for photo editing and such, but again, that could benefit from a larger screen as well.

I've ran off a Rev A MacBook for a main computer. It works, but damn it is nice to be staring at a new Aluminum iMac now.

So get a display to go along with it? That way you have the best of both worlds.

I would never use my MacBook as my main computer. All I use it for is AIM, internet, serato and other mobile stuff. The resolution is way too low for photo editing IMO.

what's that new SW by Serato? I saw someone using it, it's different than Scratch Live. Uses a different interface/mixer/turntable.

:werd: That would work. I actually picked up a Mini-DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter from the Apple Store over the weekend for my new MacBook, hooked it into my Samsung 226BW... 1680x1050 on OS X =
