OK. So this is the first girlfriend I've actually ever had. She's studying in Paris right now, but will be back in three weeks. I've had a few conversations with her about trimming/shaving/etc, and she says it doesn't bother her, but she thinks it would look nice if I trimmed (but NOT shaved).

Basically I want to suprise her by trimming, but I don't know what that entails. How short do you normally trim, what do you trim, what do you use, etc. I guess I could just take hair clippers and go at it, but I'd like some experienced advice. I'm really concerned with what a properly trimmed area should look like. In pornos, the guys all are completely shaven, so I don't have a clue what a "trimmed" look is.

One more question. I realize it might still itch, even without shaving, but how long does that usually last? I'll deal with the initial itching, no problem, but i'd like to feel comfortable down there once she's back, so I'd like to plan accordingly. Thanks for all advice.

the hardest part....or at least ONE of the hardest parts, is shaving the sac...yes, trim the suprapubic hair, shave the sac. Hit the shower, lather up with soap, and shave the sac, and surrounding hair between the legs, WITH the grain. Pull the sac so the skin is tight, not wrinkly.

The trimming, I usually do, is pull the hair by it's tips (the hair is too curly usually, so I pull it straight) and clip it at about .5 to .75 inches long. trim it nice and even, and shave around the edges so you have nice clean lines. Don't trim the trail from your belly button down...leave that intact.

After words, a bit of baby powder goes a long way to prevent ball stickage to the legage.

hope this helps! And be gentle....use a nice clean and new razor....cuts arn't fun.

take a small pair of scissors, while in the shower use that barbershop technique of pinching the hair between 2 fingers and clipping the hair hanging out. that'll give a good length for your regular pubic hair. use a new razor and some shaving cream. i just lift my penis and run the razor all over my balls (i pull tight some times, but only if i cant get it close) just because your sac is wrinkly doesn't mean it'll cut into it. i've never had a huge problem. i also shave against the grain after the first few passes with the grain. take time doing this, but dont stress it, it's not too hard. if you'd like some pics of my shave job (thread isn't labeled NWS so not posting here) pm me.

I usually just use a pair of decent scissors and trim until the hair is about 1/2" long or so, I don't do that shave around the edges technique, because on me, it would definatly look unnatural, (I'm on the hairier side, legs, and chest, thank god no back hair lol).

so how long should it itch for? is it only from the shaving around the edges part? or does the actual trimming also itch?

is it necessary to do any shaving? i'm not a hairy guy, but at the same time, I don't want to deal with prolonged itching, ingrown hairs, or thicker regrowth.

would hair clippers work, or do i need to use scissors or a razor?

The trimmed part won't itch. Where you shave with the razor it might. Just go slow, be gentle, use shaving cream, and moisturize afterwards.

She is currently boning European guys who don't shave. Don't bother because when she comes back she will want more of what she got in Europe.

I trim twice a month using a Remmington bikini shaper. Take the gaurd off for the stem/sack.

Setting number 2 for the top.

A razor is dangerous enough to have next to my boys, the last thing I need is quickly moving bits of metal.

hmm, so i trimmed a bit. i don't think its short enough?! i dont know. instead of a forest, it's like the savannah now. anyone have a site or pictures or something as an example of what it should look like?! purely to be informative.

it itches a little, but not as much as i thought it might. not bad at all. im pleased with the results so far.

is a beard trimmer any different than the attachment on most electric razors or hair clippers? same results, right?
