Is it still available? I heard the waiting period on them has gone up tremendously. Where can I find an application and what do I have to do again?

Im wanting to order several surplus guns and am having a hard time even finding an FFL that will order from J&G sales etc without charging me an arm and a leg for the gun not including the transfer. One guy wanted to charge me $200 for a damn 91/30 :eek4:

I think I pretty much have it down. I just need to get my LEO's signature.

One thing though, are you allowed to use the electronic copy of the bound book or it still based on the physical paper copies?

Copy 2 of OMB No. 1140-0038 is for the CLEO.

I should have said "sent to LEO" not "signed by LEO"

Worst case Coyote's near walnut hill will do as many transfers as fit on the 4473 for $30. I think my c&r took a little less than 2 months a year or so ago. Send the cleo copy to the salem police chief if you're in the city limits, marion county sheriff if you're not.

I ordered 2 forms the night I made this thread. I hope to see them some time soon.
Anyone else order their forms recently? Have any problems getting them?

  15. Can you just use a proxy site to access it?

    Proxy site?

  17. Yeah. A http proxy will pass your request through a different site, so your software they have blocking content won't know where your end destination is. It'll just see the requests going to whatever proxy site you're using. I must add that disclaimer that while the VAST majority of proxy sites are free of malicious code, it's possible that there are some that are bad (just like any site on the net.) That being said, check out http://proxy.org/ for a bunch of proxies.

Access denied. Reason: "proxies and translators"

  19. :o Lots of web filters let proxies through. :hs:

If I happen to find a 3 year old form at my parents house that I received but never filled out, I wonder if its the same theyre still using today

They are the green forms and at the top it says OMB No. 1140-0038 "Application for Federal Firearms License (Collector of Curios and Relics)
At the bottom the form says ATF Form 7CR (5310.16) Revised May 2005

Didnt know if it was identical to the current ones or if I sent it in it would get rejected or not

I sent my C&R in 2 days after my NRA membership and the ATF still charged me 4 days before the NRA. It was less than a week for them to charge me, I'm hoping to have it in hand in a week or so now.
