I finish my cut this friday and I'd like to track any trends in bf change. I have done a little bit of reading about scales that measure bf%, and heard they aren't very accurate. This is fine for me as long as it can measure a good trend. (Currently, I use the cheapest target scale. It's terrible for accuracy, but it's great for tracking weight loss/gain.)

    Does F&N have any recommendations?

Or hydrostatic tank. Most university kinesiology/athletic training programs have at least one of these options and can/will test people for basically nothing.

nothing is more accurate than a mirror.
you should be able to tell better with a mirror than a scale or caliper... and really, the mirror should be the deciding factor on how you judge your progress.

except they don't. things like hydration can cause different results.

just get calipers, they aren't hard to use and are relatively accurate and pretty repeatable

I have both calipers and a scale. The scale isn't exactly accurate, but it does give you some kind of benchmark to go off of..

I like to use my mirror for bf% estimates and the scale for general weight..

scales are the most useless gimmick ever...they ask you for your age, height etc for a reason, no electric bf analysis is happening believe me. I have put guys who are unreadable on calipers (2-4%) and those scales will report 9-10% Best way is the mirror, you got six abs and intercostals and veins in your abs...your lean.

If anything it just fucks with you mentality. If one day you wake up and are bloated, BAM, BF% change out of NOWHERE and you hate yourself.

Bulemia allows you to eat more enjoyable foods. Don't listen to naysayers.

Seriously though... I rely on mirror, weight, tape measure and caliper (one site only).
