I have access to complete CMMG carbine 5.56 uppers with the following barrel lengths: 14.5", 14.7", 16". These are in-stock with my distributor. The 14.5" has a perm. attached YHM Phantom flash hider and the 14.7" has a perm. attached A2 birdcage flash hider. They are therefore, NOT NFA items.

Price is $500 shipped for each upper. Like the knife deal, I'll order for every THREE units. If you've burned me in the past, you're out. Join date of Jan 09 or earlier AND 100 posts or more to be eligible.

    Barrel specs:

    14.5" is 1:7 chrome lined
    14.7" is 1:7 chrome lined
    16" is 1:9 WASP lined

*edit: 16" 1:11 WASP lined 6.8SPC also available for $50 more.
**edit2: "Complete" means these uppers come with BCG/CH/HG

Only the three I listed; no idea if they're NY compliant or not.

Think they need to have a muzzle brake or something.

Just get the 16" and have THT remove the FH and install a muzzle break if that is the only thing that makes in NY compliant.

No. I don't do any gunsmithing due to the increase in insurance premiums. If you want one shipped to a gunsmith to have that done, I can do that but my responsibility ends with shipping the upper to the smith.

Oh. I wouldnt really consider that "gunsmithing" though, just unscrew one and screw the other on.

I bet you could have CMMG ship it minus the FH to you and then just send the muzzle break in the package and let the customer screw it on themselves.

Just trying to help those that do not live in free states. ;)

Insurance considers it gunsmithing. Even something as simple as installing drop-in rails is considered gunsmithing.

I'm not buying direct from CMMG since they require an order minimum that I can't meet plus their distributors match their direct dealer pricing however there's no customization available.

CMMG only does batch orders now? I know for awhile they were not accepting any "walk in" business. I'm glad I got mine way back when.

He can't, you can, because of the reasons he stated above.

As a business, he plays by different rules and has different priorities than us (the individual). Just how it goes.

It's the act of assembling that insurance has a bitch fit about, not which part is considered a firearm.

I know I can't order on this, but I was wondering if these came with rails/no rails, bui's or a charging handle, gas block/front sight post, stuff like that.

Dangit, Jonathon. Read the post. Or maybe Hoss's post asking the same damn question.

    You're not eligible anyway.

yes i read the post, but define a complete upper. and if you read my post... you'd realize that addressed my ineligibilty AND you would have spelled my name correctly :fawk: if you read you would have seen me asking about rails/no rails because a complete upper could have plastic handguards... or rails or a free float tube etc. so i was just asking for more details.

CMMG uppers normally come with the plastic handguards.
