I would like to work eventually for the cia/nsa/homeland security . . . but they wont take me seriously until I have some experience, and the only place that will take me straight out of school in the intelligence field seems to be the military...

I have a college degree, and I will graduate from law school Spring 2008...

    I am 23

I have done some research, but most of it is in militaryspeak which I do not really understand. All the intelligence jobs I have found require prequisites, and I am interested in seeing where I would START right after law school...

the lowest tier I have found is this...

MOS 0202, Marine Air/Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Intelligence Officer (I)#

but even that requires you to be a captain, and I know that even through OCS you are commissioned as a 2nd Lt.

i think I am too old to learn a new language, by the time I learn it well enough to not get killed for being an infiltrator, I will be 67 years old

You are never too old to learn anything.
That was my feel good quote for the day.

I would recommend staying on the fence and taking a contractor job for a year to test the waters. There are lots of private companies hiring right now. You should have no problem getting picked up with your degree alone, provided you aren't some bankrupt crackwhore who cannot get a security clearance. Check out http://www.intelligencecareers.com

    PM me for more info.

    edit:

    straight from that site

OCS is for the Navy, so we don't have 2nd Leutienant's, we have Lt. JG's.

When you complete OCS you get Ensign (O-1) not Lt. JG (O-2).

    Just FYI.

OCS is a term used in the Marines, Navy, and Army (Air Force goes to OTS). Just FYI.

Work on getting it to around a 280 first. ~280 is plenty fine, not every Marine has a 300 PFT. 280-290 is extremely respectable. You don't see 300 PFTs that often.

They sure didn't like when you said that over at the other forum. I think its great that you are striving for a 300, but most people never get a 300. I only had a 298 when I first started, and I bet I only have a 280-285 right now. Getting a 300 isn't the end all be all to being a good Marine.

If you have anywhere near a 280 I think you are in good shape and I think you should start the aplication process as soon as possible.

meh, i left. I didnt really care for some of the reactions I was getting over there, although I appreciated the link. I have found that the military forum is actualy a bit more helpful. It seems that at marineocs.com everyone has a giant chip on thier shoulder. I reregistered with a different name, and probably will never post again...maybe take notes from the superlurker!
