    What?
I'm looking to install a remote starter on my 06 Civic DX (5 speed manual).
Installation should be extremely easy for it since it doesn't have power door locks or any factory alarm system right?
From what i've gather, it should be 7 wires total to connect.
    - Power
    - Ground
    - Ignition
    - Starter
    - Tachometer
    - Brake
    - Parking lights
Am I missing anything? I bought this remote starter for a automatic but it shouldn't matter right?
Could someone shed some light onto where is the tachometer wire located? Ignition harness?

Oh, and FWIW, make sure you're in neutral with the ebrake completely up...wouldnt want your car lurching into things now would we?

I remember reading somewhere this was illegal in many places for this very reason. I wouldn't get it for my car just because I park in gear.

    ...

    :ugh:

Take it back now, and if you insist on doing this yourself with zero knowledge, buy the manual one.

    ummm it WILL NOT WORK

you have to rig up something to trip the clutch sensor....cause without the clutch pressed down....your car will not start

Yep. battery is torquey. I heard of a story on the honda fit forum--where I'm a mod--where a guy modified his civic MT, and it launched into the door.

It's a bad idea in general. U should not park in neutral anyway, and that one time you accidentally park in gear, u'll dash into a wall.

to above posters regarding clutch sensors for the ignition. The reason for those is to prevent battery powered launches in general.
