I'm trying to install a Western Digital 80 gb HDD. Its a WD800JB. It says I need to make a DDO boot diskette to unlock the entire drive... but here's the problem. I dont have a floppy drive. So how can I unlock my drive?!

What is DDO, and why do you need to unlock it? I have never heard of that before.

DDO is Dynamic Drive Overlay... it is usually used if your computer cannot see the full capacity of the hard drive. In general, you shouldn't have to worry about it

Ehh well. The drive is 80gb and I can only get like 33gb to show up. So how do I get the rest to show up?

Is the drive going to be a master or a slave?

If it is a slave and you use the software that came with the drive to set it up in Windows, it should be able to find the full capacity.
