just curious as to what you guys do.....but be realistic. i'm not looking for seas with arc amps on f#1 alpine shit. given a budget ~$3500, including labor taxes, materials, etc. what are some of your "trusty" setups?

    1. Kenwood KVT-xxxxx (fill in model # according to vehicle. 2DIN where it fits)
    2. Kicker KX components
    3. Kicker KX seperates
    4. Kicker KX500.4
    5. Kicker KX1200.1
    6. Kicker SL7154 (x2)
    7. Red and Yellow Top upgrades
    8. Necessary wiring and materials, of course.

If I was feeling creative, then I would use something off the wall:

    1. same
    2. Viper Comps
    3. Alpine Type R seperates
    4. Viper 500.4
    5. Viper 1200.1
    6. Viper 12" Subs (2 or 3 depending on room)
    7. Batcap and Red Top
    8. same

Something along the lines of SQ:

    1. Kenwood Excelon Source (TV or CD)
    2. Diamond M6 or Hex comps all the way around
    3. .....
    4. Diamond D5600.4
    5. Diamond D51200.1
    6. Diamond TDX12D2 (1) or M612D4 (2)

    pioneer 860/880
    jl 500/5
    jl zr 650
    jl xr 650cxi
    jl 12w3v2

sounds pretty decent... one of my biggest sales was 4 jl 10w7s, two 1000/1s, a couple of optimas and caps in a custom enclosure into a 2006 h3. the funny thing was, it was off the stock deck . people love their ghetto bass, but it pays the bills.

this early 90's bronco we're doing one step at a time... so far he has a pioneer 80mp, and eq... 4 pair of 3way 6X9's, a pair of 5.25, and a pair of 6X8's, all rockford fosgate power series, 2 pair of T1 tweeters, and 25 farad cap also from rockford fosgate... 2 apline V12 4channels, a V12 monoblock, and a pair of type-r 15"s... with the plan of 2 more monblocks, and 4 more 15"s... it's loud enough already, and flexes the fiberglass backhalf alot... but he wants it louder.

Well, given a $3500 budget... I'd do my setup... haha

Except I'd have a 15" RE Destroyer instead of the MT. I mean, as far as all around SQL... sound AMAZING on all levels... and great output... haven't seen anything beat it in the Tri-State...

    :)

That sounds just plain shitty. Lots of coaxials? Extra cancellation? Oh... and throw some random tweeters into the mix? Eww....

Sounds like a hood ninja's dream tho...

he does not care about sound quality... he just wants it loud, and to where he can hear all of the music. not what i would spend the money on, but it's not my money... he wants to do more, but needs to be cut off... i'm from the school "less is more".

i did something similar in a 96 tahoe. 6.5 diamond m3's in front doors, kicker r22's in pillars, some coax in back passenger doors, 2 prs of kicker r19's on c pillar (right behind back seat) and 2 prs of kicker 6x9s in the rear barn doors. that shit was loud as hell, but it was still clear for what it was (no major tweeter "hiss" or sloppy midrange/midbass). Of course we were using a USAmps 4 ch for part of the shit and a Viper 500.4 for the rest, and no i don't remember what powered what.
