install 10.5 retail disc on more than one mac?

    Do they sell the multi-user license disc just on the honor system, you can install as many macs with 10.5 as you want with any retail disc, right?

    legally - 1 computer
    but i wouldn't worry about installing it on multiple computers, unless your running a business with like 100+ computers, then you might want to look into doing it properly.

    as far as i know, there's nothing preventing you from doing so.

    i heard someone else on the net talk about it this way:

    apple makes a ton of money off their hardware, and their software only runs on *their* hardware. so, they don't waste their time trying to hold back piracy (not even saying that yours is piracy, you bought it)...your installing it only strengthens their user base.

    apparently microsoft did something similar with Office back in the day. let everyone have it because eventually, it's all anyone will know how to use, and then make the money off the *businesses* that have to use it.
