I accidentally got insect repellent on my Mazda3 rear bumper (velocity red) yesterday, but didn't want to wipe it off because of the dirt on the bumper. Now it's dried :o... what's the best way to remove? GooGone? Vinegar? Polish?

A polish or cleaner wax should remove it. May take a little elbow grease, you can't just wipe on a cleaner wax or polish and expect it to do anything without working it in a little.

    update:

I washed, clayed, polished and waxed and the stuff didn't come off...well a tiny bit did but that's it. It looks like the rest burrowed into the paint or something, because the paint is lumpy/rough and it won't go away. Did the bug spray eat into my paint and bubble under it or something?

    damn it this sucks

I'm going to go try a slightly more aggressive cleaner polish

Stupid question, but have you tried just putting some IPA on a MF and letting it dwell on the area for a while?
