depends on what you mean by techno. if you mean techno as electronic music, then that covers a HUGE range of music which also encompasses true techno. if you actually mean techno, and detroit techno at that, then you wanna checkout Autechre, Richie Hawten, Carl Craig, and I guess the most mainstream and loosely techno is Moby.

Techno is an actually genre, a sub genre of electronic music. You won't hear any techno songs on the radio in the United States. You may here the occasional dance/trance song such as Darude as someone has already suggested.

if you are truly looking for electronic music (and not techno per se) my top five of all time would be:

    1. Chicane - Halcyon
    2. Sasha - Xpander
    3. Binary Finary - 1998
    4. Solar Stone - Seven Cities
    5. Sasha - Wavy Gravy

Electronic music is meant to be listened to in sets, not single tracks. Go to www.livesets.com and download some sets from DJs around the world.

Most people have never heard real techno. The have heard the trance anthem shit on the radio and they think its techno and its not even close.

i'm not sure what you mean by insane...bpm? are you into mainstream stuff like everyone has already mentioned, or are you into stuff that is still off most peoples radars?

try checking out some woody mcbride stuff. it's pretty jacked up. http://www.djesp.com/
