I've been thinking about getting a surface piercing on my inner wrist. I've seen a bunch of ones done on the back of the wrist and forearms, but none on the inside. Id probably position it about where a watch would go (but on my other wrist obviously) and perpendicular to the arm. I'd like to get a finished result something like this with the disc bar ends, but obviously in a different spot.

Anyone know if it can/ has been done? Complications?

Sounds a bit dodgy to me, its not like you have a lot of flesh there, and there are an awful lot of arteries and veins close to the skin.

ive seen it there...you can pierce anything. id seen it straight thru a dudes hand... and that one healed just fine. ive also seen it around this guy's achilles and that was cool.

the problem is finding someone who will do it right.

if you dont know a piercer who is doing these type of piercings regularly and well, then chances are it is going to reject. it takes a lot of practice and skill to get a piercing like that not to reject, and i definately wouldnt trust that part of my wrist to just anybody.

I do know a piercer who is pretty damn good at surface piercings, I'm going to see him today. I'm thinking I might just get it done on the back of the wrist tho, because i've read a lot of stuff saying it shouldn't be done on the inside of the wrist. If my piercer was confident he could do it without significant risk then I would get it done.

I ended up getting a single dermal anchor on the back of my wrist cos my piercer was totally against putting anything on the inside of my wrist.

you can get it done right and it wont reject... so many piercers think that they know what theyre doing and they end up fucking your shit up. ask to see a portfolio. my piercer has one with all his work in there... i hang out with my piercer so ive seen his work and ive sat around the shop so Ive seen his style. hes pretty awesome thus i have surface piercings FTW!!!

however the dermal anchors are cool. but they can reject too.

Yeah ther dermal anchor was mainly due to my stupid veins making it difficult/impossible to do a decent horizontal surface piercing. I think I'm going to get a matching one on the other arm.
