The closest you'll get is faux infrared. Your camera blocks most of the infrared rays when you're shooting. :noes:

I know he was :p he should OBVIOUSLY buy a hoya r72 filter for his damn camera, because faux IR is a pain in the ass AND kinda sucks.

nonsense!! They make them just about every size :coold:

Besides, even if he didn't have the exact size, he could always just hold the thing over the front

Some cameras have stronger IR blocking filters than others. :squintd:

    :noes: :run: :tripod:

:p he should get a tripod, or be REALLY hardcore and just remove the hot-mirror from his camera and replace it with ir-pass glass or plastic of the same size. I wanna do that to a d70 sooooo freaking bad :coold:

BTW, :coold: is obviously the best freaking dancer ever.

    Ok, she-woman :squint:

You need an IR pass filter and a tripod and you can do it in camera (if you've got the time to wait for the exposure)

:dunno: I didn't read the thread, since I have low reading comprehension, but my scan of key words says that might help you acheive real IR pictures. To be frank with you though, the 20D isn't too swell at infrared. The IR blocking filter is too strong and IR filters will flare with most lenses. Make sure you short focus the lenses so it'll be focused in IR. :wavey:
