from what i've seen and heard from expirence... i'd say no, you can do a lot better with components... and a "custom" box.

i've put 2 in. they weren't bad. but for $250 you can get a decent 10", a Qlogic box, and about 200 watts that will sound better. especially if you're getting discounts

so this would probably be better??

    single 10" kappa sub
    http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='KAPPA104.7W'&Ser=KAP&Cat=SUB

    with

    600w Class D sub

    http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='REF611A'&Ser=REF&Cat=AMP

i can get both for $258 + box and install so it will probably be around 320 or so all said and done

edit: i already have a 4 ch amp alpine
    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-tb13wkzPc2N/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?I=500mrvf345&search=MRVF345

in my car powering infinity 6.1 components "reference" and 6.1 Type R's in the back
will adding the above infinity amp cause me problems with my alternator if so i may just stick with the bass link
because i really dont want anything that will draw too much attention to my self because i would rather not everything
get stolen. i dont really need any thing that hits real hard i just want some nice quality sound im also thinking of returning the reference 6.1's for the kappa's will there be a major difference?

upgrade battery to either a redtop or at least interstate megatron. doubt you'll have any major issues, but might as well get a battery that will be a little stronger with your stereo.
