So I'm in on this Buy 2, Get 1 Free deal this week, and I can't decide which of these two games I want.

Help me decide. Tell me why I want one over the other.

And before you suggest some other game, I don't like FPS games, so all the Call of Duty games are out, and so is Borderlands. It's really down to these two games. I love Uncharted (and am about to start Uncharted 2), and I'm big on platformers like Ratchet & Clank (which I also will pick up).

    HELP!

final battle: infamous >> batman AA

    storyline: infamous >> batman AA

    characters: infamous << batman AA

voice acting: infamous << batman (only because of joker, batman was quite corny)

re-playability: infamous >> batman (only due to the evil/hero dynamic)

graphics: infamous >> batman (both are visually impressing)

gameplay: infamous = batman (come on, cole is like a super hero version of drake w/lightning bolts. however, batman is batman, so it's a draw for me  )

I'm just playing batman right now, I think it's absolutely superb. The critics I've all listen too say more amazing things about this game. And if you are a fan of the old 90's batman cartoon this definetly has that feel. Not only do the use the old voice actors, the style of the characters is very old school and dark. Definetly a must buy :)

lol, agreed - The stealth scenes are my favorite. I definetly thought they gave Batman that dark shadow stalker who can take down an army by sneaking in and dropping them one at a time :p

I hope there is a sequel to Batman set in Gotham, they already have the models! On top of that they have so many more villains to use. Fighting Manbat like the first episode of Batman TAS would kick so much ass.

They definitely have a lot of potential for a sequel, even using the same game engine and mechanics. There are so many storylines to pick from. And I thought AA had one of the best battle systems in any game, especially those Combat Challenges, some of which I think should be integrated into the main game to a degree. Such as in boss battles, forcing you to do sick combos to win rather than just fight a Bane iteration for the 20th time.

    infamous was pretty good.

    havent played batman yet.

buy whichever interests you more and then get the other when the price comes down later.

Batman has more polish, and the advantage of having a pre-established world to be set in. Everyone knows the Batman characters.

inFamous, on the other hand, is a brand new idea, and you can tell... characters aren't well developed as some Batman ones, not having the 50+ years of character history to use to develop them. However, it was way more epic of a story IMO, and a better game overall, fun-wise, but barely. I still need to give it another play through to get my Platinum :hs:

Both are fantastic games that should be played through at least once though. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either. Choose the one that interests you more now, then get the other one later. Batman can easily be beaten on a rent though, and there isn't as much incentive to play through it again as there is in inFamous.

i dont see either as having a lot of replay aside from the trophy collecting, but i'd probably go with b:aa.

the one thing i dont like about b:aa is that most of the time is spent in detective mode, and you dont really get to enjoy the scenery and environments as much. the combat system is far more entertaining than in infamous; you instantly feel like a badass. i wasnt really a fan of the stealth part of the game especially when they throw you into a stealth challenge room. the story is average. i didnt find any of it memorable, but the cameos makes it entertaining.

i sold my copy of infamous as soon as i got all the trophies and i dont regret it. i could see myself playing the challenge rooms in b:aa every now and then just to figure out how tf those people scored so high in the combat rooms, but other than that, once the story is done, theres no reason to go back to it.

...and the autosave sucks! theres no way of knowing when it autosaves and you dont have an option to save. ive had to replay certain parts of the game and pick up secret items again because the game didnt save my progress.

i think it was fun but it's definitely overrated.

half of the people in this thread probably never played infamous so they chose batman.
