    Hey guys and gals I'm designing a light for a project at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. I have an idea of what I want to do, but I'm not sure what materials I am going to use for the final model. I'm searching for a material that is translucent and has the consistency of a clear gummy worm (but tougher). Some kind of plastic or rubber? Does anyone know specifically what kind of material that would be and if it is easy to come by? Thanks

    get clear hot glue sticks and melt them into a mould -- they will dry fairly hard but flexable

    or a tube of clear silicone sealer like you use on shower screens, it dries rather soft.

    ballistics gel.

    pretty much just like a gummy worm, but tougher.

    you can make your own, or you can buy it.

    Then you can be a mythbuster with the leftovers and do fundamentally flawed experiments that you submit as fact!

    :rofl::rofl::bowdown:

    but srsly, that show would be much better with actual engineers and physicists. Grant is apparently an engineer from MIT, but I don't exactly see him pointing out the obvious flaws in the experiments....
