    I haven't ever posted in here so go easy on me. I don't shoot with a pro body (D3) which makes low light shooting that much better but I think they came out pretty good.

    It's not just an issue of underexposure

    It's an issue of blowing out color channels

    How could I have exposed those anymore? And I like the colors...should they be more bland?

    Blowing out a color channel doesn't have to deal with saturation or vibrance - it has to deal with clipping. Blowing out a color channel is overexposure of a single color channel sampled by your camera's imager which is also used for form a composite multi-colored picture.


    When you overexpose, you lose all tonality in the overexposed channel or composite regions
