A guy on the Rennlist Forums just completed his 'Stage 3' setup (as he puts it). I must say, I am rather impressed with how the car looks. Fucking incredible. A new Turbo with a partial whale tail. First that I have ever seen. :) I Like it. Anyway, it is a VERY clean car.

Mods: 2002 996 Twin Turbo:Gemballa Aerodynamics, Europipe Stage II Loud, AVS 315/25/19 Rears, AVS 235/35/19 Fronts, Forged SSR-GT3's, Bilstein PSS-9's, Bailey Diverter Valves

slow server, but sweet looking car...

the stg3 moniker is sorta lame... unless its got heavy engine mods, and i dont see any listed that classify IMO.

    but the car is sweet.

I like the wing, but I'd have done it a little differently. Nice rims though. :big grin:

What kind of power is it putting down? :)

The wing looks functional. I think it gets more air to the intercooler.

Yeah, I will probably put some K-24 GT2 turbos in, redo my ECU, a new wing, exhaust, and a new front bumper. The GT2 is nice and all, but for that much money it should have more than 40hp more than my car. :dunno: Granted, it weighs about 200lbs less (no rear seat and no front differential), but still. It isn't THAT much faster than my car and I still have the benefit of AWD. However, the GT2 DOES go back to the old 930 'roots'.

Hasn't touched the engine, yet, I don't believe. It gets to be a 'touchy' subject when warranty becomes an issue. You have to tread lightly and blowing a 4yr/50k warranty on a $120,000 car isn't a smart thing.

You can strip out the rear seats and probably get to within 50 pounds or so of a GT2 pretty easily, I'd think. :)

BTW- I still want to run that thing on a track- we've gotta find a good weekend when the Porsche club up there is at Road Atlanta... :big grin:

Whoa- I'm not feelin' it raised. :ugh: It's rather large and ungainly like that...

Does it at least work like the other Porsche spoilers and only come up over certain speeds?

Agreed, but those little differences is what seperates a Daily Super car from a Super super car.. :big grin: But hey! i'm driving an A3 Audi, so i'm envious of all of you guys that drive the lean mean machines from Stuttgart.. and let us know when u get your Turbo Modded, i bet your's will look even nicer than that guy's... :bigthumb:

Yeah, it still functions with the auto 75mph-raise and 37mph-lower values. Of course, you can do it manually with the switch inside the car as well.

Thanks, I'll try. The GT2 IS an incredible car, but not something that I would want to drive for long distances and on a daily basis (if need be). Just too harsh of a ride because of its suspension setup and I don't trust the crazy oversteer enough. :)

 Very nice car. I want a Porsche Turbo, but I bought a house that cost about the same.

The GT3 is incredible as well, but non-turbo and that was my deciding factor.
