Pretty much most things I say :x:

But I'm selling my 11-16. Guy is like I really want it, but I wish it had a little more reach like the 12-24.

I once said this. I now realize how stupid it was.

    Sharpness and 2.8 > 17-24 on a wide.

I also bashed Tamron before I owned one. Went by what people said and horror stories. I now own the 17-50 and it's my favorite lens. Absolutely love that lens.

    "canon > nikon"

I now realize they're only tools... each has their ups and downs, but one really isn't better than the other.

oh i also recently said i can't stand aperture priority, and full manual is much easier to use esp when over/under exposing

lol whole moab trip i used aperture and learned to get fast with the exp compensation. worked well

although i will admit his guide on the d90 helped me learn the d90 really quickly. his breakdown on the menus was helpful.

although his shit like "no reason to use anything other than matrix metering" and some shit is annoying

Apparently he once said that there is nothing you can do with strobes that you cannot also do with speedlights. He then goes on to say that OTAP told him that was stupid.

Probably not things I've said, but used to think when I first got into it:

    - That using fast lenses > using flash in low light. Now I combine both fast lenses and flash.

    - Scared of high ISO. Now I shoot 90% of my stuff at 800+.

I'm actually going the opposite direction and shooting stopped down a lot more lately. I shot everything wide open for a while.

also when i started, i dismissed the importance of polarizers and tripods.

a $50 tripod works just fine right? why do i want filters?

now i love my ND and polarizer and i can't wait to get a pro level tripod with a strong ballhead. nothing like it.

Actually, someone was asking about the benefits of strobes and I said that they were more flexible and that you were able to do things with strobes that you cannot do with speedlights.

I was jumped on saying I was wrong.

I remember when I'd tell people I'll only do shoots in the "Golden hour" because you couldn't get good shots in any other natural light.
