So the GI triggers sort of worked. In general either one flash fired or the other, but rarely both at the same time. Annoying. Fucked up a lot of the shots. There are one or two keepers though

hmm im not sure what to tell you, ill try to be as honest as I can without sounding overly critical. so ill just post my thoughts as I see them.

Right now i don't like any of them, I can definitely see you had problems with the lighting, with the second one overblown and all the others a bit underexposed. The first moody one is nice, but it doesn't say much, the others it almost looks like the background is pasted, you don't really know if she's in the pool or outside, at least for me its hard to create that connection with the water.

Overall it does seem like a serious try .pretty sure if you go hit it again you will get much better results.

Hope the pointers help a bit

    Really underexposed :sad2:

Levels, curves, WB (nasty red hue), lighten up the eyes, lips, sharpen eyes

Some people don't like my PS but I think it makes the shot looks much better

#2 is way overexposed, and everything else is underexposed. You need to get your exposure right before you do anything else.

Why are you using crappy triggers that don't work?

    I can take it ;)

As I said, I'm not all that happy with how these turned out. I agree with most of your points. The point of the shoot was she was wearing a dress in the pool. All of the shots where you could see that were full of errors - flashes not firing, bad pose, etc.

Haha... I actually like the first. With a little PS work I think it could be pretty good... The shadow on the arm is going to be kind of a deal breaker for epicness though, that and no light in the eyes. But I'm one of those weirdos who likes to have 40-60% of the frame completely blown on the shadow side sometimes.

As said the rest are mediocre-good with significant technical flaws, under/over exposure etc.

I see.. well shame the opportunity was lost, she does pose really nice :big grin: if you try the concept again try to show more of the dress and the moment where its wet..that will add a lot to the picture

Did you see my redo i Just potsed? I had them like that at first but hated all the grain from bringing up the exposure. But after seeing yours I guess it's better to have grain than be way under exposed. Im just sad they didnt turn out how i wanted :hs:

i actually kinda like that but i think it would have looked better with the background lit up (slow ur shutter down and that would help get that affect as the only thing dependent on flash is aperture).

    btw nice snag!

You can kind of see the light spill on the ground - one camera left near the number three, and one camera right.

You're making the eyes too fake white.. Brightening them up is a good idea, but that just looks fake :hs:
