    Hey everyone.

I'm currently in the market for a Mp3 player with a hard drive (ie iPod, dell DJ, etc). I'm looking for something around the price range of $200-250, and at has least 10 gigs of storage.

On top of that i'm considering getting some Shure E2c Sound Isolating Earphones (which are $100 but they sound incredible... I tried them out on my friend's iPod):

I've been looking around at various brands like iRiver, Creative, Dell, Apple, and Rio. I've tried out different iPods, but I have yet to use or hear anything about the other brands. What do you people recommend?

    Thanks!

    I'd go with the Creative.

I think the Dell is ugly. Get a skin for it or get a creative. I'm getting an Olympus m:robe 100.

I'd post pics but I don't think OT supports html. Does it? I'll try anyway:

Lacuta, if you do end up buying those Shure E2c's you can get them for a lot less than $100. Compuplus has them for $59 and they have the E3c's for $115. Just a heads up!

i just got my iriver h10 last week at bestbuy. not quite sure why the were selling it because its not supposed to be released until feb 1st, but i was more than happy to get it early. i am very pleased with it. one of my main concerns was the touchpad. i owned the zen touch but the touchpad was too sensitive. even when it turned it all the way down i still had problems selecting the song that i wanted (returned it after 2-3 weeks). the irver touchpad is perfect, i have had no problems with it. the player itself is very thin and in my opinion looks great. i also really like the case that comes with it (just like the iskin).

the mrobe was another player that i was considering, but i have read that people are having problems getting the player to hold anything more than 4gig. olympus says they will be releasing new firmware to fix the problem but i have no patience to wait for that.

I just got the dell Dj for $212 shipped. (gen 2 w/ 20 gigs of storage) I have not got a chance to mess with it too much, but it does look good IMO and perfect for the money

my daughter got an iRiver 256mb for Christmas, and even with the included ear buds the sound is great. Easy to use interface for transferring music, and it has a record feature, which can be handy.
