That's how the game works, son.

Fedor has been inactive as fuck. His last true top heavyweight fight was against Cro Cop in August 2005.

Silva has been on a tear like GSP, but since GSP lost to Serra I give the top nod to Silva.

    Discuss.

    I agree.

It bugs me when people still consider Fedor to be P4P the best.

You have to fight to be the best.

anderson is sick, but he hasn't accomplished what fedor has yet. But at the rate fedor is going he'll do that really soon.

Yeah, but he beat Koscheck and Hughes on his road back to the title. Before he lost to Serra, he had one of the greatest win streaks ever.

Trigg (which he dominated like no one else ever has, even Pride GP winner Misaki who lost to Trigg), then Sherk, then BJ, then beat Hughes. Very impressive.

Unlike guys like Can Cop or E-Fed, who need crap opponents to keep their prestige.

BJ Penn can be in the p4p list when he beats someone credible again

Fedor may not be the current best P4P fighter, but he is the best P4P fighter in MMA to date, if that makes sense.

Are we talking all time P4P, or current? Because if its all time than it almost has to be Fedor, who hasn't he beat that he should?

I feel that p4p has a whole new meaning these days. It's not just speculation anymore with many fighters moving up and down in weight classes to capture titles. Those are the real p4p top dogs. Guys like Roy Jones Jr in boxing. BJ Penn gave it a shot but failed. Silva and GSP both want titles in other divisions so we'll see if they can do it or not.

it seems as though some judge P4P as what a fighter has done, and others as what a fighter is capable of doing, hence why BJ Penn and Fedor are still on lots of lists
