In Relation to the Sleep Thread-Diet Guru's Pur/Timber Please

    Anyone else have problems sleeping when they get leaner...I'm not a naturally lean guy, once I get below 10% bf or so I wake up usually 2-4 times a night to pee whatever. I remember when I was really leaning out I would wake up on almost an hourly or bi-hourly basis. But I also noticed I needed less sleep the leaner I was. Now that I'm not cutting I sleep a little better but I can't get 8 hrs of uninterrupted sleep unless I'm BEAR status. Once I get to about 15-16% I'm cool but single digits bodyfat my sleep sucks. Any thoughts/tips/ or tricks?

    Why don't you just PM them?

    I sleep fine whether I'm 23% or 9%. Sex before bed helps too.

    I wanted anyone that might have some good insight to respond. but I know Pur or Timber probably know something about this.

    I notice that too but the quality of it sucks (at least for me).

    This is depressing, @ 12-13% I sleep TERRIBLY. and i am trying to get leaner.

    The leaner I am, the less sleep I need. However, I think the quality of sleep depends on many factors. But I do agree that I woke up several times a night when I was very lean(sub 10%) and now that I'm 10-11% it's only about 1 time per night.

    :werd: I've always been a sound sleeper and never been the one to wake up a 3-4 times during the night but ever since I got lean, sleep has sucked. I'm in for an answer as well.

    My only guess is that I use to shove a lot food in my face right before I went to bed beforehand. I use to max a big bowl of oatmeal with some PB, versus cottage cheese and whey now.

    anytime i diet (once in every 5 years) i sleep horribly. i wakeup in the middle of the night a ton. shit is gay, even with sleeping pills.

    When I was fat I could sleep forever but it was shitty sleep because I had sleep apnea. Now that I'm not a tub of lard I can function on 6hrs of sleep just fine.

    yep, i used to get up to pee all night but also when i was show ready or close i could sleep 4-6 hours and no more and i was good to go and felt great. I think your caught in the mind set of the 8 hour rule, people like us dont pertain to that esp if lean, also older you get the less you possibly will need. If i sleep past 6-8 hours i feel like horseshit

    Yep, I feel better off of 4 than off of 8 or more.

    I was going to reply to this... after my nap.:wiggle:

    Seriously though, I find it easier to sleep if I save some of my carb allotment on a low carb diet for just before bed.

    the thing is i'm not even dieting anymore. I'm up to 240 almost and not even that lean :shrug:

    On my high carb days I'm taking in close to 600 g of carbs or more...

    dont know. I just know that even tho I sleep like shit wake up several times, I'm not tired during the day...
