In need of Free anonymous e-mail account

    Need e-mail account to send, receive anonymous e-mail. The ones i've seen i only got (paid/subcribe) non-sense, is there anyone who knows of a good free anonymous e-mail service? :dunno: Sorry for the harrasment, just wanted to know.

    how are the regular ones not anonymous enough? gmail, hotmail, etc?

    Yea, i'm wondering this too. Just make up a new hotmail/gmail/yahoo/etc account with a randon name... email accounts dont require personal info for creation... so it is, in effect, anonymous... as long as you dont tell anyone who it really is.

    I don't care what company you pay for "anonymous" email with, account activity can always be retreived with a warrant. So in a sense, there is no "real" anonymous service, unless some exist overseas.

    Exactly. The only way I was thinking to be 'more' anonymous would be to use pretty much any free email and always access it via proxy. Even that is traceable by law though I think.

    Well if he was trying to get around some websites rules for the number of
    screen names, he might want to do that.

    Not really. Send an email through a bunch of re-mailers or open relays and they can take a guess where it came from. It might be an educated guess, but if my memory serves they can't tie it back to a specific user.

    we're talking about the guy who is a consumer, not some l33t h4x0r who already knows the ropes. Oh well.

    Moral of the thread: go use a public free acct
