COULD he? Yes. WOULD he? I don't think so. Fedor capitalizes on mistakes better than most and Brock is still too new to not make mistakes.

if fedor is in a terrible car accident or comes down with a kevin randleman stapf infection

assuming nothing terrible happens to cripple fedor in that year, uh,,,no.

frank mir happened about 10 minutes ago and everyone has already seemed to forget brocks total lack of sub def. Fedor would sub him quickly

Define could. I could beat Fedor, it's just extremely unlikely.

Brock is overrated and hyped up.

His big strong and athletic and has a good wrestling base... but there is more to fighting than just that.

Based on how Fedor looked against AA, yes.

But Brock's chin hasn't been tested yet. He could very well drop like AA on one mistake.

    Fight wouldn't even be interesting:
    A) Brock shoots in for takedown
    B) Fedor lets him cause he knows he can sub the big dope
    C) Fedor arm bars from the bottom
    D) Fedor still = Godlike

that's what they said about Couture vs. Brock
granted brock's nowhere as good as somebody like AA with his striking, but fedor gets caught with strikes all the time. with brock's reach and punching power, he could put fedor out standing. as far as ground work, experience counts for a lot, but you can't teach size

Brock has the physical potential, but Fedor's fighting intelligence makes it so that he minimizes the chances where he can be severely dominated in terms of size and strength.

Unless Brock pulls a Fujita and gets him dazed, I don't really see him beating Fedor as something that's all that likely, even after a year's worth of training and fighting experience.

Anyone could beat anyone on a given day. That said, I don't think Fedor would let it happen. I want to see how Penis Sword does against Mir the second time, and then cast my vote.

looks like 15 people here need to be further educated on Fedorism. The man simply refuses to lose , its not an option in his mind.

As far as brock goes, once Mir solidifies his title the heavyweight division is going to be boring for lack of options/interesting fights....unless by a miracle they sign Overeem and/or Fedor

Couture is fundamentally disadvantaged against Brock. :o The younger/faster Couture would have taken it.

i voted yes because we have all seen it happen when it was said it couldnt happen. remember diaz v gomi. gsp v serra. liddell v jardine.

and thats just from recent memory. it could happen. it has happened. and it might. will it? probably not.

as for fedor coming to the ufc. hes there, he fights mir and lesnar. now what.

theres still very little talent there and i definitely see why fedor doesnt want to be tied down to just one organization

I don't mean 2003 and earlier Randy, I meant 2004-06 Randy. Just as good but noticeably quicker.

and I didn't mean disadvantaged in terms of size I meant age. fedor is only 32 and still in prime.
