I wonder what you consider a supreme court justice if not a top legal scholar?

Wow. Didn't bother to read the entire article, but they fucking missed the mark from what I read. Gun control has racist roots, not gun rights.

It could be argued that the right to bear arms is racist if minorities don't have enough money to buy their own guns, but the white majority does. However, that is purely a side-effect of the law, not its primary intent.

Keep in mind that when the Bill of Rights was written, there weren't enough people in the USA for slavery to be a major concern like it was 75 years afterwards -- the explosion of slave-powered plantations in the South didn't happen until well into the 1800's. Furthermore, if there's 2 white adults on a plantation and 100 black adults, there is very little to stop the house niggers from swiping one of Massuh's rifles and shooting him with it.

In any event, while that might be part of the historical impact of the Second Amendment, it's impossible to argue that nowadays white people have greater access to guns than blacks or latinos -- hell, if anything whites have less access to guns nowadays, because most white people don't know someone who knows someone who can hook them up on the down-low, and they have to buy one through "legitimate" channels.
