hy, i am currently building a new house and i have put wires in the walls for speakers. i have a main room that is about 500 square feet and wanted to put in 4 speakers in the corners, and 2 outside on the deck. this is a beach house so i am worried about salt water air outside but the AC will be running 24/7 inside.

my budget is about 700$ for 6 speakers and they will be used primary for listening to music and not videos. what speakers do you guys recommend, i have been looking at the yamahas or the polks that show up in the amazon listing and dont really know about the out door ones yet.

Speakercaft really is the most experienced In-wall/In-Ceiling speaker brand(they make Proficient as an entry level brand). Excellent speakers, most have pivoting tweeter and speaker, so you can direct them. I have Proficient speakers, but no in-ceilings. I'm not an audiophile or a professional reviewer, but I have heard Speakercrafts, and I have to say they are the best in-ceiling speaker I have ever heard.

SPEAKERCRAFT, WOOT! Plus, the guys that work there are perhaps the coolest bunch of guys you'll ever meet. High quality stuff from them.
