"In between" computer

    I'm in the market for a new computer and I don't want a crappy dell with all the preloaded software, etc, and I dont want some super high-tech neon glowing gaming computer. where's the in between if i don't want to build my own?

    yeah, your essentially buying a pre-built custom PC because you can tell they use mostly all parts you could buy off Newegg

    Lian-Li and Centurion cases, Asus boards, ect...

    also if you have a microcenter near you they sell them there for less than the prices on the site

    Dells don't come preloaded with crap anymore. I just purchased 2 differant dells in the last 2 months. the only extra software was adobe reader and works.

    I beleive that is only their Vostro line of computers, not all of their models.

    The 2 inspiron's i just got had nothing. In the config you can select no pre-installed software
