would it make sense to do DB presses before hitting bench?

That way you could tire out the tri's & require the chest ot do more work on the benchpress. :dunno:

this is something i was told & not something i came up with on my own, to me it doesnt make all that much sense.

no, but doing flys either db or machine will pre exhaust the chest an give you the result your looking for

Wasn't there studies that claim pre exhaustion actually makes the compund exercise less efficient at stimulating the target muscle? I'm sure I've read it 2 or 3 times... though unsure if all were referencing the same study... Ceaze?
In other words... squats alone > leg extension followed by squats...

I've always heard to do isolation exercises at the end of your workout.. like do your presses first then flys, etc

im sure theres some useless study out there that says one thing then another, Im going by what cutler always made me do to help keep my delts out of it. I always have a better workout when the pump is evident in the pecs from the get go an not the delts. I just go with how it feels for me. I ALWAYS do leg ext before squat but for warming up, i do heavier leg ext at the end.

    So true....
Yeah, lately just to do squats I find I need to be on the treadmill at least 10 min and try to do some light leg ext or even very light goodmornings. In the past I never put too much emphasis on warming up.
